SEATTLE DESIGN FESTIVAL

“Memory Strings,” is a collaboration between DLR Group and PCL Construction to foster new connections by creating an interactive installation for Seattle Design Festival 2022. The installation will be a wooden pavilion with a focus on locally sourced materials and interlocking connections. The pavilion will house a series of selected questions that will invite the public to share their story and connect through shared experiences. Each visitor will map their journey by answering questions using a colored thread along wooden pegs. Over time, the users will create a rich matrix of intertwining responses. The layering of answers will resonate not only to those who interact, but create larger patterns over time.
